Dear Valued NMIA Members,
On behalf of the NMIA Board of Directors, we extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication to the News Media Internal Audit Association throughout the years. Your commitment to NMIA's purpose of advancing the field of internal audit and fostering professional development has been instrumental in hosting successful conferences and providing valuable networking to our members.
After careful consideration and with a focus on the future of the profession, our membership has voted to dissolve the NMIA. This decision, while bittersweet, reflects our commitment to ensuring that our remaining resources continue to support the growth and development of aspiring audit professionals
In line with this commitment, we are pleased to announce that all remaining funds from the NMIA will be donated to the McIntosh Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Media Financial Management organization. This fund provides financial assistance to young audit professionals, enabling them to attend the prestigious MFM Conference and further their professional development. Steve McIntosh was vice president and general manager of Belo Advertising's customer services unit until his sudden and unexpected death. He was an active member of MFM, a forward-thinking member of the media industry, and a rising star.
We are incredibly proud of the impact the NMIA has had on the audit community, and we are confident that this decision will create a lasting legacy by empowering the next generation of audit leaders.
Thank you again for your years of membership and support.
Sincerely,
The NMIA Board of Directors
